Location Recce
A number of crew members, within the film industry, work for "location." One of these occupations include a Location Scout. Below is what a Location Scout would have to do...
Technical Recce
Once the location is found the department heads will go on a technical recce to decide how they might create the look the Director is after, and they also decide whether shots that have been storyboarded are possible given the restrictions of the location.Rick Assessments
Within the film industry health and safety is taken extremely seriously due to all of the technical equipment and more.. Often within the industry, in order to take part they often require you to be 18 years old. This is because as an adult you are responsible for yourself therefore a massive amount of responsibility falls upon you.The risks must be controlled in the workplace. To do this everyone need's to think about what might cause harm to people and decide whether they are taking reasonable steps to prevent that harm for themselves and others.
A risk assessment is about identifying sensible measures to control the risks in your workplace.
Shooting Schedule
In order to keep organised a shooting schedule is heavily important. This lists the filming order of your shots. It is important when you shoot everybody and everything is available including your team and location. Also ensuring equipment is booked and available.Storyboard
Creating a storyboard enables you to preplan the shots and scenes, this like the shooting schedule is a step to keep organised and to ensure everybody knows exactly what they need to do.Mise-en-scene description
